Graphic Designer / Illustrator

1/1989 - Present  Freelance

•      Performed various design jobs as freelance work for different companies and businesses.  Logo and billboard design for El Portrero Restaurant in Costa Rica. Created character designs and illustrations for various children’s book projects for Brava Enterprise, logo designs for various local businesses.  Worked with Oak Grove Elementary School to produce t-shirt designs for their annual charity 5k run.  These shirts have been an integral part of the annual events success, the shirts have been a popular draw for those participating in the event. Creating illustrations for Topps's Lord of The Rings card set and for Upperdeck’s Marvel Masterpieces card set, which were very popular with the collectors.  Tee shirt design, tags and branding material for a new children’s clothing brand Nony and Nona.

4/2004 - 11/2004  PCA National, Peachtree City, GA

•       Work with customers in creating group, family or business portraits which are creative and go beyond the customers expectations.  Create a lasting relationship with customers creating customer loyalty due largely to the creative images produced for the client.

7/1998 - 5/2002  Capital One, Tampa, Fl

•       Creating and designing numerous posters, flyers and logos to help promote different corporate activities and special events within the Hispanic Line of Business.  Collaborated with the Hispanic Risk Department to coordinate a design campaign that would support the departments recruiting initiative; which were very successful in achieving its goal and had the highest response than any other of its recruiting initiatives.

5/1997 - 7/1998  Busch Entertainment Corporation, Tampa, Fl

•       Created various graphic art and illustration jobs such as flyer and posters to successfully help promote the Security Department and the job that the department performs.

6/1992 - 2/1997  U.S Armed Services, Fayetteville, NC

•       Worked in a high stress environment where clarity, meeting deadlines and accuracy are demanded at all times. Also throughout the five years of military service was able to create various logo and emblem recreations for use within the Company and Battalion, created illustrations for use in Company and Battalion Standard Operating Procedure Manuals.  While stationed in Korea created a booth design for Camp Carroll Army Base during the annual MayFest festival, which placed 2nd base wide.

•       Associate Degree

Maintained a 4.0 average during the two and a half years of study, winning many school competitions.  Easily learning, understanding and mastering various different mediums, layout formats and software programs in both Mac and PC versions. Training in Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Express and Corel Draw.
